Analyzers, Physiologic, Body Composition

Definition : Physiologic analyzers that assess human body composition. These analyzers may determine body composition based in fat/fat-free two-compartment models (also called fat/lean components) using indirect methods (e.g., densitometry, absorptiometry, electrical conductivity, impedance), or a several-component method (typically four; i.e., water, protein, bone mineral, fat) using direct methods such as neutron-activation analysis.

Entry Terms : "Scales, Body Composition Analysis" , "Segmental Body Composition Analyzer/Scales" , "Body Composition Analyzer/Scales" , "Infrared Light Body Composition Analyzers" , "Subcutaneous Fat/Lean Analyzers" , "Electrical Impedance Body Composition Analyzers" , "Bioimpedance Fat/Lean Ratio Analyzers" , "Bioimpedance Body Composition Analyzers" , "Body Composition Analyzers" , "Body Fat Analyzers" , "Body Fat/Lean Ratio Analyzers" , "Fat/Lean Analyzers"
