Masks, Air-Oxygen, Venturi

Definition : Devices used to deliver a precise mixture of air and oxygen to the patient's airway. Venturi masks typically include a variety of adapters that allow air entrainment in controlled amounts to provide a desired oxygen concentration. Venturi masks are connected to an oxygen source with tubing and include head straps for stabilization. Adapters are typically included for connection to a humidity source. Venturi masks are constructed of plastic.
